PropPassCheck

Methodology

How PropPassCheck tests a strategy

The test centre replays your real trades against each prop firm's real rules, thousands of times, to estimate how often your strategy would pass and get paid.

1. Your trades

You upload a backtest or trade history. We read the profit of every closed trade, convert it to a percentage of the starting balance, and group trades by the day they closed, so busy days and quiet days keep their real shape. Commission and swap are included where the report has them.

2. The firm's rules

Each account is stored with its profit target for every phase, daily loss limit and how it is measured, maximum loss and whether it is static, trailing, or trailing until it locks at the starting balance, minimum trading days, time limits, consistency rules for the challenge and the funded account, and the first payout's timing and minimum profit. Each rule links to the firm's own page and carries the date we checked it.

3. The simulation

For each account we build 2,000 attempts by drawing trading days at random from your history, including days with no trades. Every attempt is checked trade by trade against the limits. An attempt passes when it reaches each phase's target with the minimum days met and the consistency rule satisfied. Passed attempts then trade the funded account until the first payout is allowed.

4. What you see

Each account gets a pass chance, a chance of reaching a first payout, the median trading days, how failed attempts ended, and a tip when trading a different size would improve your odds. Results are ranked by payout chance, because getting paid is the point.

Frequently asked questions

How does PropPassCheck work out my chance of passing?

It takes the trades from your backtest or trade history and replays them in random order 2,000 times against each account's rules: profit targets, daily loss limit, maximum loss and its type, minimum days, time limits and consistency rules. The pass chance is the share of those attempts that clear every phase.

What does "reach first payout" mean?

It is the share of attempts that pass and then trade the funded account until the first payout date without breaking a limit, with at least the minimum profit and within any consistency rule. Instant funding accounts are judged only on this, because they have no evaluation.

Are my trades uploaded anywhere?

No. Your file is read and simulated entirely in your browser. Nothing you upload is sent to our server.

Which platforms can I import from?

MetaTrader 4 and 5 Strategy Tester reports (HTML or Excel), cTrader backtest history exported to Excel, TradingView's List of Trades CSV, and any CSV or Excel file with a profit column and a close time.

How accurate are the results?

They are a simulation of your past trades, not a prediction. Limits are checked on closed trades, so firms that measure losses on open trades can breach you sooner, and some rules such as per-trade risk caps are listed in each firm's notes rather than simulated.

How often are firm rules checked?

Each rule shows the date it was last checked against the firm's own website. Prop firms change their rules often, so always confirm the current rules before you buy a challenge.
